SMB Call

-A Memo From Karl-
Karl's Podcasts Have Moved!
SMB Conference Call AND Cloud Services Roundtable Podcasts Available in Free Archive
Back in January of 2008 we kicked off the SMB Conference Call with a simple interview. It was a new adventure and there was no one doing a similar show in the space. Well, we filled 100 phone lines and had to buy more. Then we filled 300 phone lines and had to buy more. Eventually, we settled on the gotowebinar tool because it included 1,000 phone lines.
One of my mantras for success is consistency. Do what you say you're going to do. Show up. Follow through. And deliver what you promise. That's what we've tried to do with the SMB Conference Call.
Times Change
Back then we were alone "on the air." Today there are a number of conference calls, blog talks, podcasts, and webinars pointed at the SMB Space. Vendors have really grabbed on to the webinar as the medium of choice.
As a result, the field of general-interest SMB info is very crowded. I believe our far-reaching topics and ability to cover just about any topic was useful. But we've become just another voice in the noise.
In January of 2010 we started the Cloud Services Roundtable podcast series. The Cloud Services Roundtable project provided broadcasts, podcasts, and supporting materials related to the collection of technologies known as Cloud Services.
In July of 2012 - after 30 months on the air - I also retired the Cloud Services Roundtable podcast series. In the meantime, I started doing "SMB Community Podcasts" and made them the main focus of my podcasting.
The SMB Community Podcast now houses all of the archives for the Cloud Services Roundtable. The SMB Conference Call archives are here for now. Very shortly, they will be moved over to www.SMBCommunityPodcast.com. That site will now house all of my historic podcasts and all current SMB Community Podcasts.
The SMB Community Podcast site is free to everyone. This includes new material and archives.
